AWD Bookmarks
A Chrome extension that keeps your bookmarks in sync with your AWD account — two-way, across all your browsers — and lets you manage them in the AWD web app.
What it does
- Syncs your whole bookmark tree (Bookmarks bar, Other bookmarks, Mobile bookmarks) to your AWD account.
- Two-way: changes you make in Chrome show up in the web app and vice versa; install it in several browsers and they all converge.
- Runs quietly in the background (every minute and right after you touch a bookmark). The toolbar icon shows the status; the popup lets you sync now, sign in/out, and reconnect.
- Only bookmark titles, URLs and folder structure are sent — nothing else — and only to
bookmarks-api.main.awd.relaref.com.
Install (developer mode — the extension is not on the Chrome Web Store yet)
- Download the zip above and unzip it somewhere permanent (e.g.
Documents/awd-bookmarks-extension). Chrome loads it from that folder, so don't delete it later. - Open chrome://extensions and switch on Developer mode (top right).
- Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder (the one containing
manifest.json). - Pin the extension (puzzle icon → pin), click it and press Sign in. Use your AWD account — register here if you don't have one.
- That's it. The first sync merges what's in this browser with what's already in your account (nothing is deleted or duplicated). Manage everything at frontend.main.awd.relaref.com/bookmarks.
Because it is loaded unpacked, Chrome may show a “Disable developer mode extensions” bubble at startup — choose Cancel / Keep. Updates are manual: download the new zip, unzip over the same folder, and click ↻ on the extension card in chrome://extensions.
