AWD Bookmarks

What it does

• Syncs your whole bookmark tree (Bookmarks bar, Other bookmarks, Mobile bookmarks) to your AWD account.
• Two-way: changes you make in Chrome show up in the web app and vice versa; install it in several browsers and they all converge.
• Runs quietly in the background (every minute and right after you touch a bookmark). The toolbar icon shows the status; the popup lets you sync now, sign in/out, and reconnect.
• Only bookmark titles, URLs and folder structure are sent — nothing else — and only to bookmarks-api.main.awd.relaref.com.

Install (developer mode — the extension is not on the Chrome Web Store yet)

1. Download the zip above. It contains a single folder named awd-bookmarks-extension.
2. Extract it into a permanent place, e.g. your Documents folder, so you end up with Documents\awd-bookmarks-extension\manifest.json. (Windows: right-click → Extract All…, and set the destination to Documents itself — not a new sub-folder named after the zip.) Chrome loads the extension from that folder, so don't move or delete it later.
3. Open chrome://extensions and switch on Developer mode (top right).
4. Click Load unpacked and select the awd-bookmarks-extension folder (the one containing manifest.json).
5. Pin the extension (puzzle icon → pin), click it and press Sign in. Use your AWD account — register here if you don't have one.
6. That's it. The first sync merges what's in this browser with what's already in your account (nothing is deleted or duplicated). Manage everything at frontend.main.awd.relaref.com/bookmarks.

Updating to a newer version

1. The extension popup tells you when a newer version is available here (it checks once an hour).
2. Download the new zip and extract it to the same place as before, replacing the files in awd-bookmarks-extension (the zip filename is versioned; the folder inside is not, on purpose).
3. Nothing else to do: within a minute the extension notices the new files and reloads itself — or open the popup and press Reload now. Your sign-in and sync state are kept.
